Washington State funded the creation of the Aerospace Joint Apprenticeship Committee (AJAC), an aerospace and advanced manufacturing apprenticeship program, to offer Washington State employers a proven method to capture the knowledge and skills of their most experienced tradespeople and pass it on to the next generation of productive employees.
Apprenticeship combines supervised on-the-job training experience (93% of the time) with classroom instruction (7% of the time).
According to employer need, AJAC has developed and implemented the following registered apprenticeship programs:
-Aircraft Mechanic Airframe
-Precision Metal Fabricator
-Tool and Die Maker
